What we usually plan for in Whitefield flats
Storage that a builder flat didn’t include. Most new apartments come with wall space and little else. We plan full-height wardrobes with lofts, a proper utility cabinet and shoe storage at the entrance, so the home doesn’t fill up with loose furniture.
Closed storage over open shelves. With construction dust settling every day, open shelving looks good for a week. We keep display shelves to a minimum and use closed shutters where things get used.
Kitchens built for the humidity. Sink bases and wet zones take the most punishment. All our modular kitchens are built in BWP plywood with sealed edges, and we don’t use MDF or particle board.
Work-from-home corners. If someone at home works from home, plan the desk in from the start. A study desk built into the wardrobe run or a bedroom corner, with its own sockets and lighting, works far better than a table added later.
Villas and larger homes. For villas and row houses we plan the whole home together through our full-home interiors service, so the kitchen, wardrobes, pooja unit and living room work as one design.
